This article describes the process of downloading and installing the funambol.com SyncML plugin for the BlackBerry. This will allow the synchronization of calendars, contacts, tasks and notes between a SmarterMail user account and the BlackBerry.
- Download the plug-in from http://my.funambol.com/bb/plugin.jad through the Blackberry browser
- Once installed find the Funambol Blackberry Plug-in and select the icon
- You will see a "Welcome to Funambol Blackberry Plug-in" screen
- Press the Menu key and select Settings
- Server location need to be formatted:
http://mail.domainname.com/sync/default.aspx - Enter the Username: username@domainname.com
- Enter the accounts password
- Select if you want to Sync Contacts, Calendar, Task, Notes
- Select if you want to Enable Scheduled Sync
- Select Sync Direction (Two-Way, One Way: Client to Server, or One Way: Server to Client)
- Select Sync Time Frame if you want to change default setting
- Select Log Level if you want to change default setting
- Select Menu and Save
- Server location need to be formatted:
- To manually Sync select Menu and Synchronize
